Get ready for six amazing days of fun and excitement! From March 9th to March 16th (not including the weekend) STA is hosting Chess Camp each morning with National and Fide Master, Mr. Jason Doss. Students of all levels and abilities will enjoy these fun-filled mornings! Students will play Bughouse rules to learn strategy, positioning, tactics, and most importantly how to win in a team chess environment.

What is Bughouse?- Bughouse is a chess game played on two chessboards by four players in teams of two. Normal chess rules apply, except that captured pieces on one board are passed on to a teammate on the other board, who then has the option of putting these pieces on their board. The game is usually played at a fast time. Bughouse builds children’s understanding of chess through constant communication with a partner and lighting quick play.

What to Bring?- If you have a chess clock, please bring it to camp with you.

Then in the afternoon, we are hosting our Teams Sports and Minecraft Camp! After pushing our minds all morning, we will play dodge ball, kickball, relay races, group table tennis, and so much more. When our legs are tired from all the running, we will turn on our devices and join the world of Minecraft. This fantastic afternoon will have your child jumping for joy!

On March 16th we are switching up our afternoon camp and bringing out our Legos for our Lego Race Car Workshop. Campers will have a blast designing, creating, and racing their own Lego Race Cars. Campers will stretch their imagination while competing against other campers in this all out Lego Race Day bonanza.

When school is out, we are open!

Camp hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Morning Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Afternoon Camp runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Cost:

• Six-Day Spring Break Package (Best Value!): $300 for STA students, $360 for outside students. This package includes all six days of camp!

• Per Day: $65

• Half-Day: $40
